RE: UPC 98804 Route 250 over Little Ivy Creek
Work in FEMA Mapped Area
Mr. Pohl,
VDOT has performed a review of the proposed project work and concluded that any minor effect that
this project may have will be confined to the VDOT ROW and will not have a negative impact on
adjacent property owners. It is consistent with our current practice, policy and procedures not to apply
for Floodplain Development Permits when VDOT has determined that the project does not have adverse
impact on the 100-year flood elevation. Please see the VDOT Drainage Manual Chapter 12 and DDM-7
in Chapter 15 for more detailed information.
The engineering computations performed in the execution of this project are available upon request. If
you would like to discuss further or have any additional concerns, please contact me at
Jeff.Br don VDOT.Virginia.GOV or (804) 786-8025.
