Dear Sir:
Your LOR application has been reviewed. In order for the amended site plan to be approved the following revisions are required:
1. [32.6.2(k) & 4.171 Lighting. In the plan provide a cut sheet with luminaire schedule for each proposed light fixture. Also,
provide the location of the outdoor lighting fixtures. Rev 1. Comment addressed.
2. [Comment] Revise the title of the plan: "SDP1981-5 Beech Tree Plaza — LOR 1 ".
Rev 1. Comment not addressed.
3. [Comment] ARB approval is required prior to LOR approval. See attached comments.

Michael Dellinger — Building Official
1. Parking spaces and access isles shall not have a surface slope greater than 1:48. Access isles shall be at the same
level as the parking space they serve. Rev 1. Comment no longer applicable after discussing the scope of work
with the building official.
Margaret Maliszewski — ARB
1. The lighting plan shows excessive lighting levels in several locations near the building. Illumination at
the ground should not exceed 20 fc. Please revise the lighting plan accordingly.
2. Add the standard lighting note to the plan: "Each outdoor luminaire equipped with a lamp that emits
3,000 or more initial lumens shall be a full cutoff luminaire and shall be arranged or shielded to reflect
light away from adjoining residential districts and away from adjacent roads. The spillover of lighting from
luminaires onto public roads and property in residential or rural areas zoning districts shall not exceed one
half footcandle."
3. Please double-check and confirm the lack of visibility of rooftop equipment from the far side of the
Hydraulic/Whitewood intersection.
Staff has provided references to provisions of Chapter 18 of the Code of the County of Albemarle. The Code is kept up to date
by the County Attorney's office. The Code may found on the County Attorney's website which may be found under
"Departments and Services" at Albemarle.org.
In accord with the provisions of Section 32.4.3.5 of Chapter 18 of the Code if the developer fails to submit a revised final site
plan to address all of the requirements within six (6) months after the date of this letter the application shall be deemed to have
been voluntarily withdrawn by the developer. If you have any questions about the comments please feel free to contact me.
