RE: SP2017-19:Seminole Trail Auto Dealership
Thank you for your comments dated January 12,2018 on the above-referenced project. The updated plans reflect
changes to address your comments as described below:
Planning
1. Bumper Blocks have been added to the(3)display spaces along Route 29 as requested.
2. The display spaces have been adjusted and the full dimension of the parking space has been shown to ensure
that an 18'space can be achieved along with a 20'drive aisle. There is enough room to accommodate the(3)
parking spaces and drive aisle.
Entrance Corridor
1. The mechanical equipment note#8 has been revised on the application plan,as requested.
2. The landscaping plan has been revised as requested:
a. The minimum shrub height is 24".
b. The shrubs along Rt.29 have been changed to an evergreen variety.
c. The shrubs along the travelway have been revised to an evergreen variety.
d. The Ilex Cornuta has been noted as not a dwarf variety.
e. The shrub layout has been mixed,as requested.
f. The slope has been planted within the limits of the property.
VDOT
A. Attached is the right turn lane warrant chart. Based on the trips per day,the maximum hour trips to the site is
8 VPH. At this rate,No right turn lane or taper is required,regardless of what the Approach Total Vehicles per
Hour are along Route 29 in front of the parcel. The vehicle trips to the site do not warrant a right turn lane or
taper into the site.
Notification fees and Resubmittal Fees:
This resubmittal includes the resubmittal fee and PC and BOS notifications fees. The client would like to move forward
with scheduling the PC meeting for this project.
