Written Description of the proposal [Mountaintop Montessori Campus, Parcel78-92A, existing conditions.] office: 540-967-5653 mobile: 540-223-1949 srt@tracinski.com Mountaintop Montessori is proposing replacement of our existing approved black stained wooden rail garden fence that runs roughly parallel to 250 on the top of the hill attached behind Building #443 (LE2), Rolkin Road on plat 78-12A. (See photo above.) There will be no changes to the existing location of the fencing. December 7, 2018 1 Sherri Tracinski, Architect Mountaintop Montessori Building & Grounds Chair office: 540-967-5653 PO Box 8 mobile: 540-223-1949 Trevilians, VA 23170 srt@tracinski.com We are proposing to replace the existing wooden rail fence with a deer fence that will surround the School's vegetable gardens. The new deer/critter fencing will be 8' in height. The fencing material will be 2"x4" grid wire hardware cloth with a tighter spaced wire hardware cloth running along the bottom 18" of the fencing and buried beneath the ground to repel the digging critters. The fencing posts will be unfinished cedar posts with their bark remaining; the post spacing will be between 8'-10'. We believe that this new fencing will be all but invisible from the 250 Entrance Corridor. The cedar posts are widely spaced and should blend into the existing tree cover on the hillside facing 250, and the thin wires of the deer/critter fencing will be all but invisible from that distance. B. Site Plan The location of the previously approved fence is indicted on the drawing below. - ..........,........__ - ... .. V-M., 1\,4l.V iL .. . Instead, we will be using a 2"x2" wire hardware cloth. See photo below for a close up photograph of this material.
