I'm sorry for the delay in forwarding reports and related information for the January 7 meeting. I've been waiting to confirm the addition of one item — Auto Zone at Rt. 29 and Westfield Road — to the agenda. That confirmation may come tomorrow. If it does, I will forward you the drawings and staff report in another email. There are 2 regular review items on the agenda. You received plans for the Hyatt House Hotel at our last meeting. In addition to that item we will be reviewing Dogtopia. The Dogtopia application materials are attached to this message, as are the staff reports for both items. The tentative agenda is also attached. Note that a continued Guidelines Update discussion is on the agenda, with the goal of listing items that need to be updated, corrected, or added to the EC Guidelines. The draft lists begun by staff are attached to this message. Please take a few minutes to think about the guidelines before the meeting and add to the list the items that you think need to be addressed. Some issues to consider: o Details will be needed on the fence design, materials (vinyl may be difficult to approve; sample may be needed), colors (earth tones preferred; sample needed). Landscaping may be needed to mitigate the appearance of the fence. Photos of an installed fence of the proposed design would be useful. o Window changes were discussed. Interior shades, curtains or blinds are recommended. Any other changes need to be included in the ARB submittal. Window film isn't likely to be approved — window transparency should be maintained. o Signs require sign applications. Signs must meet the approved criteria of the Comprehensive Sign Plan (see attached). o It is recommended that new lighting be limited in quantity and intensity (no greater than 20 fc at the ground) and all fixtures full cut-off.
