I'd like to let you know that I received the VDOT's approval letter of entrance, and the Health Department's
approval of the soil report.
At this point, we are ready to sign the plat. Please bring signed copies of the revised plat and a signed copy of
the updated private road maintenance agreement. The county will make a copy of the agreement and return
the original one to the applicant.

Thank you for your quick and thorough response. I appreciate it.
I have the following updates and answers for you:
1. As far as I know, it's ok to submit revised copies of the plat electronically during the review process. Hard copies are
required once we are ready for signatures, and the county retains one original copy of the signed plat.
2. After the modification of the easement, the plat met the area and bulk regulations from the county code. However, I
need an updated electronic or hard copy of the private street maintenance agreement that reflects the reduction of the
easement from 20' to 10'.
By the time we are ready for signatures, you need to bring a signed hard copy of this updated private street
maintenance. We will retain a photocopy of the agreement and return the original copy back to you with signed plats.
3. 1 forwarded the revised copies of the plat to VDOT for approval of entrance to a public road today.
4. The health department is still reviewing the soil report submitted with the application.

Good Morning Faruk,
I am replying to you on behalf of Tom Hogge regarding the White Family Subdivision.
I have addressed your comments as follows:
1) Modified the New Private Street Easement alignment to satisfy 25' setback
requirements for both the dwelling and garage. This necessitated revising
the easement to a 10' width from the 20' width originally proposed.
2) Added the date of drafting of the plat.
I'm attaching revised sheets 1 and 2 as PDFs for your review. It has been my experience in the past that this method is
suitable for resubmitting. Should you require hard copies for resubmitting, please advise me on this process and how
many copies would be required.
I appreciate your time in this matter and look forward to hearing from you.

Dear Tom Hogge,
I would like to let you know that I finished the initial review of the SUB 201800028 - White Family Subdivision
application, and would like to provide you with the following updates and comments:
1.1 transmitted the soil report provided by you to the Health Department, and am currently awaiting their
review/comments and approval.
2. The private street maintenance agreement you've provided is reviewed by the county attorney, and NO
changes are needed.
3. The garage on lot TMP 56-26F does NOT meet the setback requirement of 25' [Albemarle County Code Chapter
18. Zoning, Section 10. Rural Areas District, RA, Section10.4 Area and Bulk Regulation]
Meeting this requirement may involve reducing the width of the new 20' private street easement and/or
moving the easement sufficiently away from the garage. Note that the minimum width of a right-of-way or
easement in a family subdivision is 10' [§14-412 (A)(4)]
4. Once I receive the modified plat that meets the aforementioned requirement, I will transmit the modified
subdivision plat to VDOT staff for approval of entrance to a public road.
Please modify the plat reflecting the comments and send it back to me.
I will keep you posted on the approval of the soil report.
