EXHIBIT V - GEORGIA MARBLE
I began work for the Alberene Stone division of the Georgia
Marble Company in September 1967 as the assistant engineer.
I was placed In charge of the core drillings and the
location of steatite reserves. I also assisted the
division engineer in all of his duties.
Alberene Stone owned 10.000 acres of property and
minerals in Albemarle and Nelson Counties, Virginia on which
was situated their Dimension Stone factory, four (4) open
pit quarries. office buildings, a sewage disposal system. an
industrial waste system, a public water system, 100 plus
company houses and about 7000 acres of forest land.
Engineering studies included maintaining these buildings and
systems, including the design and layout of additions. A
sampling of specific jobs that were accomplished during my
stay are as follows: (1) Design and layout of the drinking
water system after an August 1969 flood destroyed the
original. A pump house. chlorinator, storage tank and about
3000 feet of water line had to be replaced. (2) Design and
layout of the industrial waste pump station. Hydraulic
studies were made of the water usage in the plant. (3)
Several large air compressors were installed. (4) The
opening of several new quarries required design and layout
of hoists and derricks. (5) Property lines had to be
surveyed. painted and maintained. Court House research of
