Re: Dunlora V, SUB201500112
Request for inspection and bond reduction for Dunlora V has been processed. The road bond is currently at
$88,800. The bond can be reduced to $66,630 (-20% original value of bond). Specific items remain.
Albemarle requests Owner confirm when items are complete, but rather than piecemeal, when all items are
complete, and project is eligible for bond release. VDOT acceptance is required for bond release. Albemarle
County does not reduce subdivision road improvement bonds for public streets to less than 20% of original
value of bond prior to VDOT acceptance of streets into the state secondary roadway system.
Note:
• Please submit 2 print copies of As -built drawings for review; most recent revision appears to be
November 14, 2018.
• Complete items listed in VDOT 1/8/19 45-day punchlist. Ref. VDOT email:l/9/2019 11:03 AM.
• Bottom of stop sign/s height is less than T, which is inadequate, and presents a hazard. Also, Valcrest
street name signpost is leaning.
• Concrete and asphalt sections requiring repair are marked with paint.
• No further reduction is possible; with this reduction, bond amount is approx. 20% of original value.
• Bond release is dependent on VDOT acceptance into state secondary roadway system.
• Please see attached comments regarding 1/8/19 VDOT-County inspection.
