SDP-2019-007 Peabody School- Minor Amendment
The Planner for the Planning Services Division of the Albemarle County Department Community
Development will recommend approve the plan referred to above when the following items
have been satisfactorily addressed. (The following comments are those that have been
identified at this time. Additional comments or conditions may be added or eliminated based
on further review.) [Each comment is preceded by the applicable reference to the Albemarle
County Code.]
Requirements:
1. [32.5.2(a)] The conditions from SP2018-004 need to be on the plans. The old SP is no
longer valid and the notes on Sheet 1 are not sufficient to meet the requirement.
2. [32.5.2(d)] Proposed Stormwater Management Access
a. The proposed access needs to be removed from the "Existing
Conditions" sheet.
b. Provide the material for this access- concrete? Asphalt? Other?
c. Provide the width
d. It appears that no grading has been proposed for this access, however
the existing topography would not accommodate access for vehicles as
it drops off near the parking lot. Grading should be provided. In
addition, with grading it appears that the managed slopes will be
impacted. This should be done in accordance with the design standards
for Managed Slopes.
e. A plat and deed is required for this proposed easement prior to site plan
approval.
