HomeMy WebLinkAboutZTA201700006 Presentation 2018-08-07Proposed Changes to Zoning Ordinance Section 33 - Deferrals Planning Commission Public Hearing August 7, 2018 Context • County Attorney's minor changes to update /modernize /standardize/ organize portions of the Zoning Ordinance • Updates to Section 33: ZTAs, ZMAs, SPs, Special Exceptions Proposed Changes to Sec. 33 • Reorganize Sec. 18-33 into multiple sections • Adding deadlines for action • Allow Planning Dir. to not require certain info • Ability to file electronically • Require notice to open space and conserv. easement holders • Adding criteria for completeness and what to do with incomplete applications • Adding ability of Planning Dir. to request info on impacts for SPs and ZMAs • Incorporating State Code language related to proffers and res/mixed use ZMAs • Adding consequences for noncompliance with Special Exceptions • Removing info on judicial review of BOS on ZMA or SP There will be Corresponding Changes — Sec. 35 Fees • Change fees to include amount allocated for public hearing • Set standard refund of amount allocated if applicant withdraws before advertising for public hearing • Remove fee for deferral (R.O.I. for Sec. 35 —after public hearing) F } for Request for PC Action • Public Hearing • Discussion • Any changes? • Action: "1 move that the Planning ZTA2017-06 to the Board Commission recommend approval of of Supervisors."
