THE CONTRACTOR SHALL ON HIS OWN INITIATIVE LOCATE ALL UNDERGROUND LINES AND STRUCTURES
AS NECESSARY.

GENERAL CONSTRUCTION NOTES
1. THE ABBREVIATION V.D.O.T. MADE HEREAFTER REFERS TO THE VIRGINIA
DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION. THE TERM COUNTY REFERS TO THE COUNTY OF
ALBEMARLE, VIRGINIA.
2. PRIOR TO COMMENCEMENT OF ANY CONSTRUCTION WITHIN ANY EXISTING PUBLIC
RIGHT -OF WAY, A PERMIT FOR SAID CONSTRUCTION SHALL BE OBTAINED FROM V.D.O.T..
