Babcr FROM: Scan C.Nelson SUBJECT: CI3R Tests& Pavement Design South Fork Farms, Phase 4 Sycamore Creek Drive Sycamore Creek Circle Albemarle County In response to your 7-27-07 memorandum,t have reviewed the eleven(11)CBR tests submitted for the above roadways in Phase 4 of South Fork Farms Subdivision. Based on the review the tests appear to have been performed in a satisfactory manner. Also, t have reviewed the proposed pavement design for Sycamore Creek Drive and Sycamore Creek Circle. Based on the anticipated traffic from Phase 4 of South Fork Farms Subdivision the planned pavement design of 2.0"SM-9.5A and 6"of Aggregate Base Material,Type I,size 21-A is adequate. A recommendation of.20 gal/yd2 of MC-30 prime coating should be used before the surface course is applied. Should you have any questions please contact me at 540-829-7582. Sean C.
