Charlottesville , Virginia Dear Mr. Maclin : The next regular meeting of the Board of Zoning Appeals 0 is to be held on February 3 , 1970 . An earlier meeting of the Board is impossible because of the legal requirements for holding hearings . Judge Amato , our Board Chairman has stated that it would be improper to hold it sooner . DOn January 22 , 1970 , an informal meeting was held by a majority of the Albemarle County Board of Zoning Appeals at 5 :30 P.M. . It was the consensus of the majority of the Albemarle County Board of Zoning Appeals present , that in view of the facts presented regarding the variance as requested by Mr. Henry W . Maclin , it would appear that the granting of a variance in this case , subject of course , to a public hearingsto be held on February 3 , 1970 and its outcome , would be in keeping with the intent of the ordinance. Those members of the Board present were of the opinion that a hards$Op did exists in this case which was not of Mr. Maclin ' s making . So subject to the February 3 , 1970 meeting of the Board of Zoning Appeals , it would appear that a majority of the Board would be in favor of the 1 .9 foot variance from the front setback .
