Dear Mr. & Mrs. Shifflett:
Reference is made to this office's letter of July 18, 1972. You were
informed that your permit mentioned above had been temporarily invalidated,
and that this would prohibit you from placing this mobile home until after
a decision had been reached by the Board of Zoning Appels on August 8,
1972.
However you have placed this mobile home in disregard of this letter.
Please have this mobile home removed from this property by Monday,
July 24, 1972. If you fail to do this by this time limit, a warrant
will be issued for violation of the Albemarle County Zoning Ordinance.

A. VA-72-12. Transcontinental Gas Company. To request a
variance of 40 feet from the rear yard setback requirement
of 50 feet in a B-1 Business Zone which adjoins an R-3
Residential Zone. Property which is located at the inter-
section of Hydraulic Road and Inglewood Drive is described
as County Tax Map 51P Parcel 1 (Part therof) Charlottesville
Magisterial District.
B. VA-72-11 . Allen Desper and others. To request the Board of
Zoning Appeals to reverse a decision of the Zoning Administrator
as he ruled on a Moiie Home Permit allowing a mobile home to
locate on property owned by Mr. and Mrs. Frank Shifflett. The
mobile home which was located under the Agriculture employee
section belongs to Mr. James Gibson. Property which is des-
cribed as County Tax Map 90, Parcel 25, is located on Route
20 South, 0.4 miles north of its intersection with Route 742,
Scottsville Magisterial District.

August 8, 1972
The Albemarle County Board of Zoning Appeals will conduct a public
hearing on August 8, 1972, commencing at 5:30 p.m. in the Board of
Supervisors Meeting Room, County Office Building, Court House Square,
Charlottesville, Virginia, to consider the following matter.
VA-72-11 . Allen Desper and others. To request the Board of
Zoning Appeals to reverse a decision by the Zoning Administrator
as he ruled on a Mobile Home Permit allowing a mobile home to
locate on property owned by Mr. & Mrs. Frank Shifflett. The'
mobile home which was located under the Agriculture employee
section belongs to Mr. James Gibson. Property which is des-
cribed as County Tax Map 90, Parcel 26, is located on Route 20
South, o.4 mile north of its intersection with Route 742,
Scottsville . Magisterial District.
All persons wishing to be heard on the above matter should be present
to express their views. All matters listed above may be viewed in the
Planning and Zoning Office, Room 400, County Office Building, Charlottesville,

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Shifflett: -
A group of citizens surrounding your property on Route 20 South have
filed application with this office requesting the Board of Zoning
Appeals to reverse a decision made by me that allowed you to place a
mobile home on your property.
Their reasons are as follows:
1) They consider the use not compatible with the surrounding area.
2) That the application was signed with incorrect information.
Because this appeal has be filed, it is necessary for this office to tem-
porarily invalidate this mobile home pe'•mit #MHP-256, until a hearing is
held by the Board of Zoning Appeals. Please note that this prohibits you
or Mr. Gibson from placing this mobile home until a decision is made
regarding this. This hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, August 8, 1972,
to be held in the Board of Supervisors. Room, third floor, County Office
Building at 5:30 p.m.
