Hi Tommy,
The CMYK you've written on the sign drawing is different from the one you just gave me: C:14, M:21,Y:62, K:O. I have
just spent the last 20 minutes or so attempting to find a Pantone equivalent to that CMYK number,to no avail. The best I
could find on an internet color converter is Pantone 459C. Is that the best color match to the vinyl you are asking for on
the '2'?
By the way,you did not list'vinyl'as a material in any part of your sign drawing. Besides aluminum and acrylic, there is
also vinyl, correct? Are there any other materials not listed? Please revise your sign drawing(the page that shows the
"Love2 Eat" logo)to include the exact colors and their Pantone equivalents (if you choose Pantone as the standard ID,
please write "Pantone" on the drawing)and all of the materials requested. You can send that back to me by email. I will
print it out here.
Do you have a sample of the vinyl? It would really expedite this review if you could submit a material sample.

Hi Heather,
The acrylic that is going to be the face of the overhead letters is going to be white. The gold color that is going to be laid
over the"2" in"LOVE2EAT" is vinyl and we have the CMYK for that. I converted that CMYK color to the closest PMS
match I could find because I did not think I could supply a CMYK color. Can I provide a CMYK for the gold "2"?
CMYK is C:15,M:22,Y:63,K:0
Thank you!

Hi Tommy,
I am reviewing your application for the above-noted sign right now. I'm looking at Pantone 459C, and that is not gold;
it's a light yellow on a spectrum we generally wouldn't approve.A closer Pantone approximation to gold is 873.
Have you chosen an acrylic material yet? Is it truly a gold, and the Pantone 459C is an approximate match? Please let me
know what brand of acrylic material you've chosen for this sign so that I can better gauge how gold it is.

I apologize once again, I feel pretty foolish for all of this. Attached is what hopefully is the correct document you
need. Thank you again.
Also, thank you for sending those links, but they will not open in my browser. I would love to have that example of the
correct way to do it if you could send it again, but don't go out of your way.

Hi Tommy,
These are exactly what I need in terms of manufacturer's specifications on the LED lighting your propose to use in the
Love2Eat Thais sign; however, you need to make choices and indicate those choices on the sheet you provide me. For
instance, color:
Colors (XX)* CW — 9000K (Cool white)
TW - 7000K (True White)
NW — 5000K (Natural White)
WW-3500K (Warm White)

Please indicate(just circle)which color intend to use. I will letyou know thatwe generallyprefer kelvin values

between 3,000 and 5,000.
Next,depth and intensity:
Depth Chart
Max. Stroke 1 Spacing

3" (75mm) 16" (150mm) Call for layout
4" (100mm) 19" (225mm) 6" (175mm)

Please indicate which depth and max stroke your chosen LEDs will have.
Please send me an updated version of this and I can begin to review your sign for compliance.

Hi Heather,
I apologize about the lack of response, I will make sure I rely everything through you. I did mean Pantone 459c,thank
you for catching me on that one.
I have a piece of paper from our supplier with the specific specs . I am not truly sure what all of the specs mean, in
terms of the lighting. I attached the whole specs sheet incase that is all you need. If I need to send you the specifics
separated from the sheet, I can no problem.
Thank you, Heather.

Hi Tom,
It's not a problem, but, in future, please respond to the ARB staff when you receive a letter about ARB-related requested
changes.
I've printed out the packet you just sent me by email. I see that you used the blank template I provided; I hope that was
helpful to you (and I hoped the template full of hypothetical examples I sent you would be helpful as well). Please note
that when you include the standard color ID number(such as 459C),you must also note which color format you are
using—Pantone or Benjamin Moore or Matthews Paint or Sherwin Williams, etc. I assume,on this application, you
meant Pantone 459C,correct?A sample is not needed but it is customary to provide a paint chip, such as in this
application (stapled to second page):
http://cob-Ifiche03/WebLinkWA/2/doc/962054/Pagel.aspx?sea rchid=746f5349-8063-41d7-9c9f-14dcc9c9c185
I believe in the letter I sent you on February 16, 2018, I also asked you to provide manufacturer cut sheets describing the
illumination type, intensity, and color. Stating "internal LED" is just stating the type of lighting and is not all of the
information requested. We need to know the color(they have to be white, by the way), the intensity(such as how many
watts or lumens they output, or kelvins, which is a measure of energy/color intensity). Please provide this information so
that I can commence review of this application.
I want to share this link with you of a CoA for a sign I just issued today, as it's one of the best examples of a sign
application I've had submitted to me: http://cob-Ifiche03/WebLinkWA/2/doc/962730/Pagel.aspx?searchid=34b87c5f-

Hi Heather,
I apologize for making this process difficult, I should have reviewed all of it a lot more before I submitted everything to
you. Thank you for sending all of those application templates through as well, those are extremely helpful. I just revised
the drawing with what I hope has all of the requirements on it and attached it. Please let me know if it is missing
anything and I will send it again.
Also, do I need to provide a physical sample of the material and colors we are using? 90%of it is black and white.
Thank you again, Heather!

Hi Tommy, *
Emily has forwarded me this email from you, and she has also alerted me to the fact that you have resubmitted revised
drawings to her; I have not received any revised drawings from you, however. Please let me clarify: we both need copies
of the revised drawings. Emily reviews sign applications for their compliance with the Zoning Ordinance, while I review
sign applications for compliance with the ARB Design Guidelines. We need to be looking at the same material, at the
same time. That's why the application asks for multiple copies of drawings/materials.
To answer your question below, the sign templates that I sent you do not supersede the application;they are merely a
helpful tool for organizing content. You have already submitted an application, so you do not need to do that again. You
do need to submit revised drawings to me, preferably as a .pdf via email, and then you also need to address whatever
concerns Emily raised in regards to Zoning compliance on those same drawings.
Please call me if you have further questions about the review process.

Hey Tommy,
I just reviewed your sign permit.
While it meets sign sizing(which is the bulk of what zoning looks at), I think you will be asked to provide more
information.
Are these channel letters,or is this a solid panel with a black background? The comprehensive criteria only allows
channel.
Also, I didn't see any information about lighting, so I can't sign off on that.
Remember to add that statement:
9
11111111111111111111111111111111111
- 0
2. The level of illumination produced by the lights shall not
stroke of 30 milllamp neon.
I'm sure when Heather reviews the sign, she will follow up with a comprehensive letter to you with the ARB
requirements.
I just wanted to give you a little head start/warning that more information is needed.
I'm headed out of the office, and we are closed on Monday.
Feel free to be in touch, but I won't be able to get back with you until Tuesday.

Hi Tommy,
I apologize for the delay in getting back to you about your sign application; there was some confusion in in-take, and it
took me a few days to get a hold of your application.
I have attached 5 Microsoft Publisher files;three of which are templates for sign application submittal materials that you
can use, and two of which are examples of what information we are looking for in sign applications. I highly encourage
you to use these to ensure that the applications you submit are as thorough as possible;the review process can be
greatly expedited when a complete application is submitted.
I have also attached a letter which says your application is incomplete and review cannot commence until the necessary
information is submitted to me. Please see the attached letter for more detail.

Hey Tommy,
Heather McMahon is one of the ARB staff here.
She is around this afternoon and said she may have time to speak with you about your sign permit application or review
it for completeness.
She also said all the letters(and numbers) must be white.Sorry, no gold 2.
I have copied her on this email so we are all on the same page.
I won't be in this afternoon as much as I would love to see you.
