2 . VA-73-05 , Virginia Land Company. Applicant is requesting the
Board of Zoning Appeals to grant a variance of 34 square feet
from the required maximum of 16 square feet for a "sale or
rental" sign in an A-1 Agricultural zone . Applicant is
also requesting the Board of Zoning Appeals to grant a
variance to allow them to place said sign on premises other
than that which is for sale ( on road right-of-way) . Property

is described as County Tax Map 44 , Parcel 9G . Jack Jouett
Magisterial District .
Mr. Humphrey read a letter from Leonard F. Winslow, Jr. requesting
withdrawal of the subject application requesting a variance to permit
a real estate sign within a dedicated right-of-way on Tax Map 44 , Parce
9Gc
Following discussion as to location of the subject property , Judge
Amato asked for anyone present wishing to speak for or against the
application or the request for withdrawal .
Mr. Earl Welsh representative bf Arbor Park Subdivision , stated that
he had received a letter on the subject but .did not know the applicant
had. withdrawn .
Judge Amato stated that the decision to allow the withdrawal is up to
the Board; that his question is are there objections .
Mr . Welsh replied he did not object .
Mr . Humphrey noted that in view of the opinion of some members of the
firm regarding the subject sign , that he would recommend the applicant
be allowed to withdraw with prejudice .
On motion of Mr . Roudabush , seconded by Judge Amato the Board unanimousl'
permitted the application to be withdrawn without prejudice .
