Phone 322-2252 area code 301 September 23, 1974 County Commissioners for County of Albermarle, Virginia 411 East High Street Charlottesville, Virginia Reference: DART DRUG - DART HUME Route 29 at Dominion Drive and Berkmar Drive Honorable Commissioners: The writer wishes to submit the attached photographs and to certify with this communication that photographs numbered 1 and 2 were taken on the morning of September 2, 1974, of the existing Dart Drug, Chantilly, Virginia, a distance of four hundred seventy (470') feet from the store front upon which five foot (5'0") high Dart Drug letters are attached. Photographs numbered 3 and 4 were taken on the afternoon of September 2, 1974, of the Dart Drug - Dart Home under construction on Route 29 at Dominion Drive and Berkmar Drive, from an equal distance of four hundred severity (470') feet from the store front. The photographs numbered 3 illustrates a sample letter "D" five feet (5'0") high, and the photograph numbered 4 illustrates a sample letter "D" two feet six inches (2'6") high. The front elevation of the Chantilly store is 32 feet from sidewalk to the top of the cedar shake fascia and the building measures 296 lineal feet. The front elevation of the Dart Drug - Dart Home under construction is 41 feet from sidewalk to the top of the cedar shake fascia and the building measures 360 lineal feet. Photographs numbered 5 and 6 were taken of the Chantilly store to illustrate the appearance of the signs from the immediate parking area.
