The petitioner requests that the Zoning Administrator grant:
A relaxation of the parking ordinance 11-7-9 to permit parking
space per 150 Sq. Ft. for banking space and one (1) parking
space per 200 Sq. Ft. of net office area.
The applicant makes this request because:
The land cost together with the space limitations imposed by
Paragraph 11-7-9 of the Code make the construction of a
proposed savings and loan office and rental offices building
economically unfeasible.

The accompanying preliminary site plan indicates 83 parking spaces, and has been coordinated
with the site plan for the Albemarle Square Shopping Center as to driveways, grading, drain-
age, etc.
Bobby Lee indicated by 'phone on April 30 that the parking requirements under the expected
variance will be one space for each 150 square feet of bcnking area, and one space for each
200 square feet of office area. Assuming the plan of your first floor that we submitted on
March 28 is valid, and further assuming that you will occupy approximately 2600 sq.ft. on the
second floor for your office and auxiliary use, we calculate that you can now build a four-
story building that will contain 10,674 square feet of net rentable area exclusive of that portion
you will occupy.
We are still working on floor plans and elevation sketches, but at this time it appears the build-
ing will approach 26,000 square feet in total gross area, including basement and penthouse
mechanical spaces.
Please note that this site plan turns the building ninety degrees, to face south, and the overhang
for the second floor shown on the previous plan•has been removed.
We will have preliminary plans and elevations to show you very soon, and will call for an
appointment when we are near completion of the study sketches.
