The granting of the variance would permit the applicant to place two steel columns fifteen feet from the right of way of State Route 240 on which the activity fronts . The two steel columns will support equipment which is necessary for the operation of the plant . The equipment will be located above the existing structure which is within one foot of the right of way of Route 240 . The applicant states that the front of the present building structure was designed and built to support this equipment in 1964 .
