a 15 foot variance from-Tile required 30 foot setback requirements
as per Article 7-3 of the Albemarle County Zoning Ordinance in
B-1 Zone.
The applicant make this request because:
Building is now located 30 feet from the fight-of-way line
7 Westfield Road East. Sign would not be visible to passing
motorists if placed back behind setback line.
*VA-75-17 was issued to North 29 Paint and Supply. New sign will
be exactly same as exsisting or may be exsisting with new lettering.

Ruling :
Mr . Sprouse will be the new occupant of Parcel 02-C-4 ,
Tax Map 61W and building thereon (Route 250 West ) .
The previous owner had a variance that ran with the
applicant and not the land . Mr. Sprouse was denied
(administratively) a 15 ft. variance to erect a free-
standing sign for himself , the 30 ft . setback being
the requirement per Albemarle Sign Ordinance . The
existing sign owner allowed Mr . Sprouse to erect
a temporary sign beneath the present sign which was
approved pending this appeal .

to the Board of Zoning Appeals on September 12, 1978, during the regular
meeting. The Board members felt that since the variance was approved
subject to re-application at the end of the two year period that you
should re-apply.
The deadline for filing is September 25, 1978. This would put your
application on the agenda of October 10, 1978. Enclosed please find a
form to be completed and signed by you. Also, a $20.00 filing fee is
applicable.
