Benjamin Dick CHARLOTTESVILLE, VIRGINIA 22901 Robert Mowry, Inspector Zoning Administrator (804) 296-5832 Donald Woodson', Inspector April 28, 1977 • A. T. Williams Oil Company c/o Mr. A. T. Williams P. 0. Box 7287 Winston, North Carolina 27109 Dear Mr. Winston: The Board of Zoning Appeals agreed to grant your variance to allow your canopy over the gas islands to be in line with the Texaco station on Route 250 East. This means your canopy may not exceed the straight line of the Texaco canopy that would run to your front property area. The pumps shall meet the required setback with the canopy extending into the setback accord- ingly and as your representative proposed. The variance was granted with the condition that the A. T. Williams Oil Company, its leasees, heirs, and future owners, if any, waive any additional liability costs or damages against the county or state highway department that may arise in you moving the canopy back from the right of way in the event the highway is widened. (A fifty five foot right of way exists from the center of the existing road to each side.) Please execute the condition and your acceptance of the same with attention to the County of Albemarle Zoning and Planning Depart- ments. No building permit shall be issued until you have completed this request. If you have any questions, please contact the Zoning Administrator. Respectfully, ( \` • J.
