Dear Ms. Maliszewski,
Regarding the comments provided by you and Heather McMahon as of June 19, 2017, I offer the
following responses:
Margaret Maliszewski
1. A etti sheet for a shoebox fixture was included with the ARB submittal. This cut sheet
,''differs from the shoebox fixture cut sheet that is included on the plan. Please explain.
• The proposed light was changed while creating the lighting plan. The cut
sheet on the plan will be used and has been provided for other submittals.
2. What is the color proposed for the B fixture and pole? Bronze or black are approvable.
Include a note on the plan that indicates the proposed color,
• The proposed fixture and pole will be black. The "Light B" notes have been
revised.
3. The zoning ordinance limits spillover of illumination onto public roads to 0.5 footcandles
(fc). The lighting plan shows spillover from the relocated fixtures along the Rt. 22
frontage in excess of that limit. To meet ordinance requirements, spillover at the
property line from the relocated fixtures cannot exceed 0.5 fc. Please revise the plan
accordingly. -. f.:...:c`..
• Aluminum panels will replace the two glass lenses closest to US Route 22 to
block light spillover on the public right-of-way. The plan has been revised
and a note added.
Add the standard lighting note to the plan: "Each outdoor luminaire equipped with a
1,7 lamp that emits 3,000 or more initial lumens shall be a fitll cutoff luminaire and shall be
arranged or shielded to reflect light away from adjoining residential districts and away
from adjacent roads. The spillover of lighting from luminaires onto public roads and

footcandle. "
• Note added.
,5, , To meet ordinance requirements, the LLF(maintenance factor) used in calculating the
le' photometrics must be 1.0. Confirm and note on the plan that the LLF used in
calculating the photometrics is 1.0.
• The LLF used in calculating the photometrics is 1.0 and a note has been
added on the plan.

Randy,
We're reviewing your proposed lighting changes and I have two questions for you:
1. Fixture heights are described as"assumed". Can you confirm that the fixture/pole heights have
been measured in the field?
2. Is fixture F for the flagpoles?
Thanks for your help.

Answer#1. I will personally measure the light poles this evening. And answer by email.
Answer#2 Fixture "F", is security wall packs. Over entrance or exit doors. They were there when we bought this
building. On photo cells. They shine down. The front and rear entrance are on covered porches and the porches have
lights in the ceiling of the porches.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
Thank You

Randy,
I've looked over the plan and, although the excess spillover has been reduced, it has not been eliminated. Spillover from
the relocated fixtures at the Rt. 22 property line cannot exceed .5 fc. I've highlighted the problem areas on the attached
plan. (My other comments have been satisfactorily addressed.)Would you like me to talk with David at Roudabush?

Attached is the revised site plans for the American Legion Post#74, Parking lot lights and sidewalk changes,
and a comment letter from Mr David Robinson at Roudabush Gale &Associates.
I'm still waiting on Kurt Gloeckner to sign off and stamp these plan's. He told me last week, that's all he
needed to do, but I can get in touch with him. How many copies do you need?
Waiting to hear from you.
Thank You
