There is still an outstanding issue regarding the need to provide a Letter of Revision for the site development plan for Shoppers World (now 29th Place)which was approved in 2012—this is a separate issue, not related to the Architectural Review Board's review of this sign proposal. I was out of the office all of last week but I received your LOR yesterday morning, when I returned to my office, and I have looked at it today. There are still some outstanding issues that need to be addressed. 1 First of all, the submittal is on 8.5x11" paper, but the scale is for 11x17" paper, so t e whole right-hand side has been cut off. Could you please send me a digital file (via email) of the revised submission—I will print it out here.When you send me the revised sheets in their full format,and when I review them to ensure compliance with the Design Guidelines, I will be able to sign off on the ARB request. But that's just step 1... Secondly, I apologize for not clearly explaining the difference between the ARB application and the LOR,which are two separate things (step 2).A site development plan (file number SDP2012-16) was approved for the Shoppers World (now called 29'Place) in 2012. In that file, Bohler Engineering included landscape plans with their site plan set. Because the proposed placement of this new sign that you and your client are requesting will alter the landscaping approved in that landscape plan, a Letter of Revision will need to be made for SDP2012-16 (not ARB2017-133). An engineer at Bohler Engineering will need to update the approved landscape plan (sheet L3.01) and revise the landscape key(on sheet L3.06) for the site plan set for file SDP2012-16 Shoppers World. The engineer at Bohler who stamped the landscape drawings in 2012 was Joseph J. Plumpe. I recommend that you reach out to Bohler Engineering in Warrenton (540.349.4500) and relay this information along with your own landscape plans so they can see the changes you are proposing.They will need to provide me with updated site plan set sheets (again, L3.01 and L3.06 for SDP-2012-00016)for this LOR. You've already paid the fee for the LOR, so you do not have to do that again, but I will need revised sheets from Bohler Engineering to move forward. Alternatively,there is a completely separate LOR underway for the McDonald's at 29th Place;the engineer responsible for that is Lane Hargroder at Balzer and Associates. It might be easier for you to contact him and ask him whether he can just add the landscaping alterations to his LOR if he hasn't already completed the drawings and submitted his application for an LOR yet.
