PROPOSED VARIANCE Applicant seeks to request a variance of 55 feet from section 18-3-1 of the Scenic Highway Ordinance to allow an addition to his existing dwelling which will place the addition 95 feet from the road right-of-way. ZONING ORDINANCE REQUIREMENT All structures shall be located 150 feet from a scenic highway or byway having a right-of-way of 50 feet or more. STAFF COMMENT Absent a showing of a demonstrable hardship and that the applicant could not locate his addition elsewhere (such as to the side or rear) , staff recommends 'sapproval of the variance requested.
