to allow an addition to a single family residence located inside the scenic
highway setback; a variance of 101 feet.
Zoning Ordinance Requirement
No structure, except as hereinafter provided in the case of certain signs,
shall be constructed within the one hundred fifty (150) feet of the right-
of-way of any designated scenic highway or Virginia byway having a right-of-
way width of fifty (50) feet or more, nor within one hundred seventy-five
(175) feet of the right-of-way of any such highway or byway having a right-
of-way width of less than fifty (50) feet.
Staff Recommendation
Staff recommends approval since the house predated the scenic highway
designation and the construction shall not be offensive to the scenic
highway.
