Tax Map: 94 Parcel: 47B Zone: A-1 Acreage: 3. 13 Existing Activity Single family residence Proposed Variance The applicant seeks relief from section 2-2 to allow two (2) single family dwellings to be located on 3.13 acres or a variance of .87 acres. Zoning Ordinance Requirements The minimum lot area for single family dwellings shall be two (2) acres, except in the case of unusual soil conditions or other physical factors which may impair the health and safety of the neighborhood, in which case upon recommendation of the City-County Health Officer, the County Planning Commission may increase the lot area requirements. Staff Recommendation Unless the applicant can show a demonstrable hardship, the staff must recommend denial. Financial hardship by itself is not enough grounds for granting a variance. The applicant's family has joint interest in the land and would like to divide it so that the interested parties have seperate legal interests and titles. Benjamin Dick Zoning Administrator Inspections Department Zoning Division 414 East Market Street Charlottesville , Virginia 22901 Dear Mr. Dick, Sorry I missed my November 15th appointment with the Board of Zoning Appeals. Have you got the dates for next year's meeting time. Like every month or what month will the Zoning Appeals be so I can re-apply in time for that date. This year is out of bounds . I have been sick, very sick and will not be able to travel for three months . Ihad a bad operation that could not wait . I may could come down in the spring or summer or it can be in the fall. When I have the dates for the Board of Zoning Appeals, I will re-apply for the Variance and I will send twenty dollars for the Application when the weather is warmer, or what months the meeting will be held. Thank you for all the information all this is new to me, if I say something or write something wrong. My daughters and son-in-laws will have to help me out until I get the full understanding of Virginia Law of the Land and property. Thank you for your help and cooperation in this matter.
