Ordinance to allow a free-standing business sign to be located 15 feet
from the right -of-way; a variance of 15 feet. This application was
approved on September 14, 1976 for a period of two years subject to
re-application at the end of the two year period.
Zoning Ordinance Requirement
All structures, except signs advertising sale or rent of the property,
shall be located thirty (30) feet or more from any street right-of-way.
Staff Recomendation
The applicant claims the need for a permanent variance due to his
distance from Route 29. The sign he claims is invaluable to him.
The staff recommends approval with the following conditions:
1) The the variance runs with the applicant and not the
land.
