Proposed Variance Applicant seeks relief from section 2-3 of the Albemarle County Zoning Ordinance to allow a barn to be located 66 feet from the right-of-way; a variance of 9 feet. Zoning Ordinance Requirements All structures, as herein specifically defined, shall be located a minimum of seventy-five (75) feet from any street, road, or access easement. Staff Recommendation The applicant must show a demonstrable hardship or other extraordinary circumstances in order for the Board to grant approval. Highway Department improvements to this road are not projected at this time.
