Proposed Variance
Applicant seeks relief from section 2-3 of the Albemarle County Zoning
Ordinance to allow a barn to be located 66 feet from the right-of-way;
a variance of 9 feet.
Zoning Ordinance Requirements
All structures, as herein specifically defined, shall be located a minimum
of seventy-five (75) feet from any street, road, or access easement.
Staff Recommendation
The applicant must show a demonstrable hardship or other extraordinary
circumstances in order for the Board to grant approval.
Highway Department improvements to this road are not projected at this
time.
If the Board chooses to approve the variance, the staff recommends no
conditions.
