Crouse-Hinds Company Tax Map: 31 Parcel: 21A Zoned: M-1 Existing Activity Manufacturing Facility Proposed Variance The applicant seeks relief from section 8-4 of the Albemarle County Zoning Ordinance to allow a free-standing business sign to be located next to the right-of-way; a variance of 50 feet. All structures except signs advertising sale or rent of the property shall be located fifty (50) feet or more from any street right-of-way. Staff Recommendation The existing sign is necessary for the identification of the site. The sign shall be more attractive and its present location is not a traffic danger.
