Virginia 22701 April 30, 20I9 County of Albemarle Department of Community Development 401 McIntire Road Charlottesville, VA 22902 Attn: John Anderson Re: Crozet Court — Road Plans SUB-2017-00187 Review #5 Dear Mr. Anderson: The Department of Transportation, Charlottesville Residency Transportation and Land Use Section, has reviewed the above referenced plan as submitted by Shimp Engineering, P.C., dated November 1, 2017, revised March 29, 2019 and offer the following comment. Land Use 1. All roadways to be accepted by VDOT must have design speeds of 25mph or greater. Individual horizontal curves may be an exception if properly signed. Vertical curves must meet 25mph standards. If conditions for a connectivity exception are not met the design must be altered. Please provide copy of the revised Road Plans along with a comment response letter. If further information is desired, please contact Willis C. Bedsaul at 434-422-9866. A VDOT Land Use Permit will be required prior to any work within the right-of-way.
