Applicant reuqests relief from section 2-6-2 of the Albemarle County Zoning
Ordinance to allow a single-family dwelling to be located 26 feet from an
existing right-of-way; a variance of 4 feet.
Zoning Ordinance Requirement
The side yard on the side facing the side street shall be thirty (30) feet
or more for both main and accessory buildings.
Staff Recommendation
Unless the applicant can show a demonstrable hardship, the staff would have
to recommend denial. However, if the Board should choose to approve the
variance, the staff recommends no conditions.
