Dear Mr. & Mrs. McAllister:
Presently your house sits in violation of the Zoning Ordinance
by being three feet too close to the property line. The porch on the
side causes the violation.
Before a certificate of occupancy can be issued, the porch would
have to be removed or a variance granted.
The deadline for filing a variance is April 23, 1979 in order to
be heard on the May agenda. I recommend that a remedy to this situation
be pursued.
If you have any questions, please advise accordingly.

Zoning Ordinance to allow a single-family dwelling to be located 17
feet from the side property line; a variance of 3 feet.
Zoning Ordinance Requirements
Side Yard. Side yards shall be a minimum of twenty (20) feet.
Staff Recommendation
Unless the applicant can show a hardship, the staff would have to
recommend denial. However, if the Board should choose to approve
the variance, the Staff would recommend screening per landscaping
if it is not already present.
