Proposed Variance
The applicant requests relief from section 11-14-2(6) of the Albemarle
County Zoning Ordinance to allow someone other than a lineal relative to
live in a mobile home and to be allowed, if necessary, to rent the same.
Zoning Ordinance Requirements
11-14-2(6) No rental to be made of the mobile home, the same to be
occupied by the owner of the land on which it is located
or by his lineal relative or bona fide agricultural employee
Staff Recommendations
The applicant emplaced a septic system some time ago for a mobile home. He
used the space but later it became vacated. Since then the mobile home
regulations have changed to disallow any person not a lineal relative to
occupy the home.
The applicant has a respiratory disorder and needs someone to help him on
the care of the acreage.
The mobile home location will be isolated. The staff recommends approval.

of his request to your board for a mobile home to
be placed on his property described as tax map 32,
parcel 29 N 2 zoned A-1 for A-79-23; I find I must
disapprove of same .
