The applicant requests relief from section 2-2 of the Albemarle County
Zoning Ordinance to allow a subdivision with a parcel of 1.9 acres; a
variance of .1 acre.
Zoning Ordinance Requirement
The minimum lot area for single family dwelling shall be two (2) acres,
except in the case of unusual soil conditions or other physical factors
which may impair the health and safety of the neighborhood, in which
case upon recommendation of the City-County Health Officer, the County
Planning Commission may increase the lot area requirements.
