Commissioner May 9, 2019 County of Albemarle Department of Community Development 401 McIntire Road Charlottesville, VA 22902 Attn: Megan Nedostup Re: Pleasant Green — Special Use Permit SP-2019-00002 Review # 1 Dear Ms. Nedostup: The Department of Transportation, Charlottesville Residency Transportation and Land Use Section, has reviewed the above referenced plan as submitted by Collins Engineering, dated 18 March 2019, and offers the following comments: 1. The Department generally does not object to the proposed special use permit. However, note that all comments provided during review of the preliminary plans for Pleasant Green remain applicable. 2. Design plans for proposed stream crossing structure must be approved by the Culpeper District Structure & Bridge Section. A full geotechnical report and analyses must be provided in accordance with Chapter 3 of the Manual of Instructions, as well as structural and hydraulic details and information. 3. Note that the final site and subdivision (road) plans must show conformance with the VDOT Road Design Manual Appendices B(l) and F, as well as any other applicable standards, regulations or other requirements. Please provide two copies of the revised plan along with a comment response letter. If further information is desired, please contact Justin Deel at 434-422-9894. A VDOT Land Use Permit will be required prior to any work within the right-of-way.
