I have approved these revised drawings (A0.0,A3.0,A3.1, and A.3.2) dated 3/20/18.Your CoA is still valid. Please note that, as per your CoA,the visibility of all mechanical equipment shall be eliminated from the Entrance Corridor.Although I believe the position of the "New Mechanical Roof and Mezzanine" will not be visible from the EC, it is still the applicant's onus to ensure that this condition is met. I believe only other change is that there were originally 7 garage doors on the south elevation and now there are only 5 —we had to change the layout some to make the vehicular circulation work. I will have to go pull those to verify, but I just want to ask you first... There was some further back and forth on this clear paneling issue and the client has finally decided against using them. I apologize for the inconvenience. But per your second point below, I'd like to submit our updated drawings; which have the updated north elevation you requested. Does this still need to be submitted with application and as a Minor Amendment? If not, let me know what I need to turn into your office and I'll drop by next week. In the meantime, I've attached the revised set for your records. Thank you and again my apologies for the change in plans... So please submit an ARB application for a Minor Amendment to Architectural Plans with supporting materials (including a material sample, if possible)for staff review. (And please be sure to update the elevation drawing to show the correct number of apertures on the north elevation of the showroom so that confusion doesn't set in...) One new minor issue that the ownership was inquiring about—please see the attached warehouse building elevations. They wanted to see if clear panels (as shown on the North elevation as the 4'x10'grey rectangles)would be allowed? These would allow some daylight into the work space. The installer provided photos of what these look like installed—this building is obviously a different color but should give you the idea. I apologize for yet another tweak in the design but the G.C. brought it up last week and as a favor I told the owner I would send this along for your review. I recognized on the drawings you submitted for the building permit that you called out"Charcoal Gray" by Ceco, and I looked it up on the Ceco website; while the latter color is darker than that approved by ARB staff(i.e., the "Slate Gray"), it was not a significant enough change for me to deny your permit drawings. However, if you choose to revert to the Slate Gray option, that has been previously approved. If you move forward with the Charcoal Gray option, please drop off a sample to me and I will update the Approved Building Materials list for ARB2017-33: Malloy Ford. Our submitted drawings had a "Charcoal Grey" called out ... However, I just wanted to make sure this matches the sample you have in possession.
