The applicant requests relief from section 7-3 of the Albemarle
County Zoning Ordinance to allow a free-standing sign to remain
located near the edge of the right-of-way; a variance of 30 feet.
Zoning Ordinance Requirements
All structures, except signs advertising sale or rent of the
property shall be located (30) feet from any stret right-of-way.
Staff Recommendations
The sign would not be visible when traveling East on Route 250 until
almost at the entrance, therefore, staff recommends approval for
traffic safety and for proper identification with the following
condition:
1 . The variance be granted for a period of 12 months.
