As we discovered while on the telephone together this afternoon, I have been receiving only the emails you send without attachments.This leads me to believe one of two things: 1) either this particular attached file is corrupted, as you thought, and it is hindering the transmission of the message, or 2) more likely, the size (megabytes) of the attachment is too large and is not coming through the County email system. Please check the size of the file and see how it compares to other drawing files you have successfully transmitted to me via email in the past. Also, please be aware that this is now a possible issue of misconnection/miscommunication when moving forward with sign requests to my department; when you send me an email with an attachment, please send a follow-up email without an attachment so that I know to look for the previous one if it does not come through immediately. Could you also forward me the emails of 10/2 and 10/16 without the attachments so that I may have them for our records, please? It may be a benefit to have those emails to show to our IT department in case I need to request the ability to receive larger email sizes. With the revised drawing in hand, I will review it this afternoon and be in touch with you by the end of the work day. I then sent you a follow-up email on October 2, 2017 asking whether the applicant intended to respond to the request for changes,to which you answered the same day that you were "working on updating the artwork" (I can forward you the email if you like) and that you would submit revisions that week. I have not received any revised materials from you, however. Did you send them by post or deliver them in person as hardcopies? If you sent them digitally to my email address, I did not receive them; please send them again. The permit is denied until the application receives a CoA from the ARB staff, and I cannot issue a CoA until I received updated sign drawings that address the changes requested from September 18, 2017. I hope this clarifies where the application and permit process is currently.
