that I can have the title insurance policy which I obtained on behalf of Mr. and
Mrs. Thompson endorsed to show that Mr. and Mrs. Thompson have not violated
the terms of the variance which you granted.

The applicant requests relief from section 2-6-2 of the Albemarle County
Zoning Ordinance to allow a garage addition to be located 21; feet from
the side property line; a variance of 7 feet.
Zoning Ordinance Requirement
The side yard on the side facing the side street shall be thirty (30)
feet or more for both main and accessory buildings.
Staff Recommendations
Due to the topography of the terrain, this, is the only' location that this
type of house could be located on this lot., Even if the house was
reversed, that is the garage being on the opposite end of the house, would
make the other end too deep below grade without excavating the rock to
make the garage at grade. Therefore, the staff recommends' approval.,
