Part C: Description of Proposal

The Entry Pavilion project will replace the existing maintenance prone single elevator and exterior flanking stairs
that connect the main terminal building to the existing long term parking lot. The Entry Pavilion will be a 2-story
enclosed structure and includes 2 elevators, a set of escalators, and a stair case. The exterior finish materials
will match the finish of the main terminal building with a combination of brick,white metal siding, and glass
windows. Existing parking lot overhead lighting will remain, with 3 of the existing poles requiring slight
adjustment. Impacts to the parking lot will include the reduction of approximately 20 parking spaces.
Part D: Applicant Agreement

• Each application package must contain(8)folded copies of all plans and documents being submitted.
Only (1) set of building material samples is required. All submittal items, including building material
samples, become the property of Albemarle County. Applicants are encouraged to maintain duplicate
copies of all submittal items in their own files.
• Only complete application packages will be scheduled for ARB review. The application package is not
complete without the appropriate checklist, completed, signed, and included with the required submittal
materials indicated on the checklist.

Charlottesville-Albemarle Airport. The submittal package includes the following:
• Architectural Review Board Application, Checklist, and $242 fee
• 8 copies of Project Plans, including Site Plan SDP-2014-19 showing proposed changes
• 8 copies of ARB Submittal Supplemental Information booklet
• 1 Boral Brick Sample Board
Review and approval of the ARB submittal is hereby requested. It is understood that the project
may require a formal review by the Board at the January 7, 2019 meeting. The project
description and supporting documentation are included in the Supplemental Information booklet.
