Proposed Variance
The applicant requests relief from section 10,4 of the Albemarle
County Zoning Ordinance to allow a car porch addition to be located
11 feet from the side property line; a variance of 14 feet.
Zoning Ordinance Requirement
Pursuant to Section 10.4, all structures shall be located twenty-five (25)
feet from the side property line.
Staff Recommendation
The existing deck attached to the side of the house is 6 feet in width,
The owner wishes to replace this deck with one that would be located
11 feet from the property line. The topography of this lot and the side
exit makes this prevalant for this addition. Therefore, staff recommends
approval .
