RE: ARB-2019-50: Avis/Budget Signs (04500000010900)
Dear Applicant,
We have reviewed your request for the above -noted sign(s) and have approved the design(s) as illustrated in the attached
drawing(s) with drawing dates of 8/20/16 and 3/15/19. (These dates do not account for revisions requested and provided
after completion of the original sign drawings.) You may consider this letter your Certificate of Appropriateness.
This approval is specifically conditioned on the following:
1. Execution of the design indicated on the final approved plans, attachments, materials, samples, and other submittal
items presented.
2. The level of illumination produced by the LED lights shall not exceed the level of illumination produced by a
single stroke of 30 milliamp neon.
3. The background of the signs shall be opaque.
Please note the following:
1. Any changes in the approved design will require a new application and additional review.
2. "Opaque" means that light will not pass through the material. Consequently, the color of the background portion
of the face of the sign will not be visible when the sign is internally illuminated at night. If you have any question
about this requirement for an opaque background, do not proceed with the construction or installation of the sign
until you have spoken with County staff.
3. Zoning, building, and other approvals may still be pending for your sign permit. This approval is only for
the Architectural Review Board/Entrance Corridor.
