Ednam Village Owners Association, Inc Tax Map: 59D (2) Parcel : 01-10A Zoned: R-4 EXISTING ACTIVITY Maintenance Building PROPOSED VARIANCE The applicant requests relief from Section 15.3 of the Albemarle County Zoning Ordinance, to allow an addition to a maintenance shed to be located one (1) foot from the front property line; a variance of twenty-four (24) feet. ZONING ORDINANCE REQUIREMENT Pursuant to Section 15.3 of the Albemarle County Zoning Ordinance, no structure or accessory structure shall be located closer than twenty-five (25) feet to front property line. STAFF RECOMMENDATION The largest portion of the existing maintenance building is located under ground. The top of the structure appears to be designed to accommodate additional construction. Locating the structure 1 foot from right-of-way of the road, makes for an accessible area to the garage door abutting the right-of-way. We cannot recommend approval . 7 29 December 1981 A- TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN As President of the Ednam Village Homeowners Association, I would like to state that our association has approved the location of the proposed addition to our existing maintenance building. Our land owners voted 100% to support the proposed building and location at a recent meeting. We urge you to approve the extension of the needed variances to us , as the topography of the land would be unsightly or impossible to work with as is . We need this approval because of the ten units now being contructed. Thanking you in advance for your cooperation and assistance.
