PROPOSED VARIANCE
The applicant requests relief from Section 10.4 of the Albemarle County
Zoning Ordinance to allow an addition to be located 67 feet from the
front property line; a variance of 8 feet.
ZONING ORDINANCE REQUIREMENT
Pursuant to Section 10.4, all structures shall be located seventy-five
(75) feet from the front property line.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
With the topography of the area in which the proposed construction is
taking place, we feel that the addition may have been designed to
accommodate the required setback. Some adjoining lots are of the same
topography. Even though we feel that it would not be of any detriment
to adjacent property we cannot recommend approval .
