New Bethel Methodist Church Tax Map: 115 Parcel : 32 Zoned: RA EXISTING ACTIVITY Church PROPOSED VARIANCE The applicant requests relief from Section 10.4 of the Albemarle County Zoning Ordinance to allow a church addition to be located 11 feet from the rear property line; a variance of 24 feet. ZONING ORDINANCE REQUIREMENT Pursuant to Section 10.4, all structures shall be located thirty-five (35) feet from the rear property line. STAFF RECOMMENDATIONS The Board granted a variance on the meeting of August 11 , 1981 , for the addition to be located 15 feet from the rear property line; a variance of 20 feet. After locating the addition, because of the angle of the rear property line, the applicant needed additional frontage.
