PROPOSED VARIANCE
The applicant requests relief from Section 10.4 of the Albemarle County
Zoning Ordinance to allow a church addition to be located 11 feet from
the rear property line; a variance of 24 feet.
ZONING ORDINANCE REQUIREMENT
Pursuant to Section 10.4, all structures shall be located thirty-five (35)
feet from the rear property line.
STAFF RECOMMENDATIONS
The Board granted a variance on the meeting of August 11 , 1981 , for the
addition to be located 15 feet from the rear property line; a variance of
20 feet. After locating the addition, because of the angle of the rear
property line, the applicant needed additional frontage. The staff feels
that if the applicant has no way of redesign, we would recommend approval .
