PROPOSED VARIANCE
The applicant requests relief from Section 10.4 of the Albemarle County
Zoning Ordinance to allow a parcel to be subdivided so that one parcel
of two acres would have 210 feet of road frontage leaving the remaining
acreage with 210 feet of road frontage; a variance of 40 feet for each.
ZONING ORDINANCE REQUIREMENT
Pursuant to Section 10.4, the minimum frontage required on an existing
public road shall be two-hundred fifty (250) feet.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
We cannot make any recommendation. If the board should approve the variance,
it should be conditional upon Planning Commission approval.

We the undersigned being co-owners with Ronald R. Lewis of Parcel 13, Tax
Map 85 located South of Batesville on State Route 693 do hereby give our permission for
Mr. Lewis to have surveyed a two acre parcel from our jointly owned property which would
provide him and his wife with 210' (more or less) of road frontage on State Route 693 and
leave us with 210' (more or less) of road frontage on the same State Route 693
We encourage the Board to grant this Variance as ours is a rural area and
as such granting this Variance will not create any unwanted density problems.
