We own land adjoining the land of Whitfield Morris and
John T. Camblos on the south. We feel that the tearing down
of their old garage and the replacing of it with the little
storage shed has greatly improved the appearance of the
property and of the neighborhood. We have no objection to the
location of the storage shed.

Proposed Variance
The applicant requests relief from Section 10.4 of the Albemarle County
Zoning Ordinance to allow a storage shed to be located 33 feet from the
front property line; a variance of 42 feet.
Zoning Ordinance Requirement
Pursuant to Section 10.4, all structures shall be located a minimum of
75 feet from the front property line.
Staff Comments
The property is open from the road to the stream. South of the stream
is elevated woods. The property appears that there is a possibility
of flooding under high water conditions. The location of the shed
at present, which is already constructed, is below road grading and
the top half is only visible from the road. We see some evidence of
hardship existing.
