Proposed Variance
The applicant requests relief from Section 10.4 of the Albemarle
County Zoning Ordinance to allow an addition to single family
dwelling to be located 9 feet from the front property line; a
variance of 66 feet.
Zoning Ordinance Requirement
Pursuant to Section 10.4, all structures shall be located 75 feet
from the front property line.
Staff Comments
The trailer that will be used as an addition to the house could
have been located at the rear of the house. At present, the unit
has been placed at the side, attached to the existing house by way
of a covered breezeway. We would make note that the trailer's
wheels have been taken off and the tongue removed.
