Proposed Variance
The applicant requests relief from Section 10.4 of the Albemarle County
Zoning Ordinance to allow a room addition on existing house to be located
31 feet from the rear property line, a variance of 4 feet.
Zoning Ordinance Requirement
Pursuant to Section 10.4, all structures shall be located thirty-five (35)
feet or more from the rear property line.
Staff Recommendation
The applicant purposes a room addition to the rear of an existing residence.
The existing residence is located at the toe of sloping property which adjoins
the applicants property. There appears to be no physical evidence that this
addition would affect the adjoining property.
