PROPOSED VARIANCE
The applicant requests relief from Section 10.4 of the Albemarle
County Zoning Ordinance to allow a storage building to be located
two (2) feet from the side property line, a variance of 4 feet.
ZONING ORDINANCE REQUIREMENT
Pursuant to Section 10.4, all structures shall be located six (6)
feet from the side property line.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
The storage shed is already constructed, but is not anchored to the
ground. The shed is supported by cinder-brick and are not permanently
laid. We believe it is certainly possible that it could be moved the
four feet to meet the required setback. We find that the applicant
does not have a hardship and cannot recommend approval.
